JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – All week long in North Dakota, there will be a chance for precipitation and accumulating snow with potential for a winter storm.

Ag Central Meteorologist Mick Kjar says the first chance for snow is tonight into Tuesday with the potential for 1 to 3 inches. Wednesday night into Thursday, there will be a chance for winter storm conditions.

Kjar says higher temps should melt most snow accumulation, but there’s possibility for snow later in the week.

Kjar says those with travel plans Wednesday night and Thursday should continue to check the forecasts, because there’s a lot of uncertainty with this system.

Accumulation totals and who will get the heaviest snow remains uncertain at this time. Monitor your forecast on our i3G Media stations and online at NewsDakota.com.
