FARGO, N.D. (NDHP) – Two people died in a two vehicle crash north of Fargo on Friday, October 16th.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol said a 2014 Chrysler Town & Country was traveling westbound on Cass County 20 as a 2006 Freightliner was traveling northbound on Cass County 17. The driver of the Chrysler Town & Country 76 year-old Jeannette Arnold of Esmond, ND failed to stop at the intersection of Cass County 17 and struck the side of the hopper trailer being pulled by the Freightliner.
Arnold and her passenger 75 year-old Dennis Marthe of Rugby were both pronounced dead on scene. Another passenger in the Arnold vehicle was 80 year-old Rita Wentz of Rugby was flown to Sanford Hospital in Fargo for serious injuries. Her condition has not been released. Mr. Goeser was uninjured in the crash.
The driver of the Freightliner 54 year-old Terry Goeser of Casselton was uninjured in the crash.
