Mary Jane Wilson, 56, Fargo, ND passed away at her home on October 12, 2020.  A graveside service will be held for her at St. Catherine Cemetery, Valley City, ND on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 11:00 AM.  In case of inclement weather, the service will be held at the Lerud Mathias Funeral Home Chapel in Valley City.  The service will be recorded and available to be viewed along with her obituary and guestbook on the funeral home website, www.lerudschuldt.com.

Mary Jane Reis was born November 3, 1963 to Melvin and Elizabeth (Cofell) Reis.  She grew up near Eckelson, ND and attended school in Valley City.  She worked at Pizza Corner in Valley City in her younger days.  After raising her three boys, Mary Jane decided to go back to school.  She earned a degree in criminal justice from UND, although health problems didn’t let her pursue that career.  That didn’t stop her from doing something she enjoyed even more, helping to raise her 3 grandsons.

Her days were spent being a full time grandma.  She liked to do arts and crafts and enjoyed decorating for whatever holiday was coming up.

She will be terribly missed by those she leaves behind especially her sons, Rob (Rachel Morgan) McKenzie, Kevin (Amy) McKenzie and Daniel McKenzie; her grandsons, Hunter, Luke and Ryder.  She is also survived by her brothers, Roman (Michelle) Reis, Steve (Pam) Reis and Melvin Reis; sisters, Cathy (Steve) Duewel, Maggie (Tony) Berdahl, Karen (Earle) Gaking and Betty (Howard) Olson; and several nieces and nephews.

Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Liz and Melvin and her step-father, Donald Wold.

The Lerud Mathias Funeral Home in Valley City is assisting Mary Jane’s family with arrangements.
