JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department is looking forward to the delivery of their new ladder truck before the end of the year.
Jamestown Fire Chief Jim Reuther reports that Heiman Fire, the Sioux Falls company responsible for manufacturing the truck, will be inspecting and testing the rig for the next few weeks.
“If everything goes well, it should be ready for delivery in four to six weeks,” Chief Reuther reports.
Fundraising efforts have also continued for the $1 million ladder truck. The original ladder truck was purchased by the state in the 1980, to provide fire protection for the State Hospital. The truck failed in the summer of 2019.
