JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Just over one year after groundbreaking, UJ Place has been open and operating for the University of Jamestown.

The building is a five-story building with 13,000 square feet of commercial space and houses 112 students. Blake Nybakken, Vice President of Development for EPIC Companies in Fargo, stated that their goal was to meet different needs from the University and community.

Nybakken says at this time, they still have commercial space to lease.

Mayor Dwaine Heinrich stated that he always encourages new visitors to visit the University of Jamestown and now UJ Place bolsters that recommendation.

University of Jamestown Senior Jack Talley was one of the first students to utilize the new living space on campus.

University of Jamestown President Dr. Polly Peterson stated that they were determined to bring students back to campus this fall. She stated that students wanted to be together and now UJ Place allows for just that.

Dr. Peterson added that they had record enrollment for this fall with 1,168 students.
