CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Cardinals swept the Bison of Barnes County North on Tuesday night in their first match back since having to postpone their season for two weeks due to Covid-19, Carrington won 3-0 (25-10, 25-14, 25-19). Carrington improves to 2-0 in District 5 and 6-2 overall, BCN drops to 0-3 in the District 5 and 5-5 overall.

The last time the Cardinals took the court was Saturday, September 19th when they defeated then ranked No. 3, the Cardinals of Langdon Area/Edmore/Munich 3-1 in Langdon. Carrington had four matches postponed during the two weeks of postponments, three of them will be made up. Our Redeemers will be made up on Saturday, October 10th in Carrington for a non-region contest and two district five matchups will be made up. Lamoure/LM will be made on Monday night, October 12th and it’s also pink night for breast cancer awareness month, and then Ellendale will be made up on Saturday, Oct. 17th. The Cardinals were to play Benson County on Oct. 1, but that match will not be made up.

Next up for No. 9 Carrington will be a makeup contest from Oct. 3rd, they will host Our Redeemers this Saturday, Oct. 10th. KDAK will have the varsity match starting about 3pm.
