JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A construction worker was seriously injured when he fell through an access door of the Jamestown Civic Center roof Wednesday.

Jamestown Police Lt. Robert Opp reports that the department was called at 12 PM to someone who was injured on the job site.

“A construction company had been contracted to do work on the roof of the Civic Center,” Lt. Opp reported. “The worker fell through the roof and landed on a catwalk. He was removed from the catwalk by the Jamestown Fire Department Rescue Team and taken by ambulance to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center.”

The 40 year-old Minot man was later airlifted to Minneapolis.

Lt. Opp says no more information is available at this time.
