VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – City-County Health District Administrator Theresa Will said Barnes County reported it’s first death related to the COVID-19 virus on Wednesday, October 7th. She said it was a man in his 80’s who died from COVID-19. She said right now there are 27 active cases of COVID-19 reported in Barnes County.

She said the number of active cases of COVID-19 in Barnes County has dropped by 50 percent since September.

She reminded the public that a COVID-19 testing event will be held on Monday from 4pm to 5pm in the NDWS South Exhibit Building in Valley City.
