JAMESTOWN, N.D. (KFGO) – The University of Jamestown is handling an increase of COVID-19 cases among the student body

President Polly Peterson says they were able to narrow down where the cases originated from.

The increase of cases has forced several students into quarantine at the University of Jamestown.

Peterson says the school has been working closely with public health agencies as well as following their own COVID-19 protocols.

Stutsman County had 14 new positive Coronavirus tests in today’s report from the North Dakota Department of Health.

Peterson adds that a lack of vigilance is not to blame for a recent spike in cases on campus.

Several students are currently isolating to help slow the spread. The school also decided to postpone games for women’s volleyball and football as the cases have been linked to members of the team.
