STEELE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Kidder County Extension Service will be hosting a Farm Safety Awareness evening on Saturday, September 12th that is free and open to all.

Extension Agent Penny Nester says the evening is being held in place of their usual yearly event.

Nester says they will be showing the film “Silo”, which is a movie inspired by true events when two teenagers become trapped in a 50 foot-tall grain bin.

Nester says to make the event open and available to more, they’ll be holding both a physical viewing and virtual viewing the movie.

She says this is all a start to National Farm Safety Week, which will be September 20th through the 26th.

The movie viewing will be held at 7 PM on Saturday, September 12th at Pifer’s Auction & Realty in Steele. You can click here to sign up for the virtual showing.
