GRAND FORKS, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Hi-Liner girls golf team traveled to Grand Forks for an Eastern Dakota Conference Meet at Kings Walk Golf Course. A chilly morning meant golfing with several layers on, but as the morning progressed the layers came off.

As a team, the Hi-Liners shot a 466. Emma Mielke led the Hi-Liners with a 109. Brynn Hagen had a 112. Katarina Vachal had a 118 and Taylor Yanish had a personal best 127. Also, Isabella Plagens had a personal best  of 132.

Head Coach Annette Beattie says both JV girls had personal best as well. Here are comments from Coach Beattie:

“Overall most of the girls weren’t happy with their scores” The 466 was the score the Hi-Liner had in their first meet this year which was a team record. ” So it wasn’t too bad of a day. It was a chilly morning at Kings Walk. Girls were golfing with several layers but peeling them off as the morning went on.”

Next up for the Hi-Liner golfers, they will be at Village Green Golf Course in Moorhead on Monday.
