VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Fargo man and Enderlin woman were arrested following a late Monday night pursuit near Valley City on I-94.

The Highway Patrol reports a trooper attempted to stop an eastbound Chevy Impala just before 11 PM for exceeding the speed limit around 10 miles east of Valley City. The driver fled, leading law enforcement on a nearly 50 mile pursuit. A tire deflation device was used to deflate all four tires, but the driver continued at low speeds.

Troopers were able to successfully use the PIT maneuver to disable the vehicle. The pursuit ended 1 mile west of Highway 32.

Driver Austin Muck of Fargo was taken into custody without further incident. He was charged with Fleeing a Law Enforcement Officer in a Motor Vehicle, Reckless Endagermnent, and Driving Under Suspension. He’s been placed in the Barnes County Correctional Center.

Natalie Schlotfeldt of Enderlin was arrested without incident on an outstanding warrant. The Highway Patrol was assisted by the Barnes County Sheriff’s Office and Valley City Police Department.
