VERONA, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Kensal woman received minor injuries in a head-on crash north of Verona Monday afternoon.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that Timothy Anvik, 54, of Forman was traveling south on Highway 1 when he attempted to turn left on ND Highway 27 towards Lisbon. He failed to yield and was struck by a northbound vehicle.

Driver Debra Russel, 53, of Kensal received minor injuries. Passengers Jeffery Erling, 65, and Daven Russell, 18, also received minor injuries.

Debra and Daven were transported to Lisbon Hospital. Erling was transported to Oakes Hospital. All received minor, non life-threatening injuries.

Anvik was not injured and was cited for failure to yield to oncoming traffic.

The Highway Patrol was assisted by the LaMoure County Sheriff’s Office, LaMoure Fire Department, Verona Fire Department, and Oakes Ambulance.
