National Farmers Union

As part of an ongoing effort to reduce the stigma around mental health issues and eliminate barriers to accessing help, leaders from National Farmers Union (NFU), the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF), and Farm Credit Council and mental health professionals discussed the issue during an RFD-TV special event that aired on August 27th.
During the hourlong show, NFU President Rob Larew, AFBF President Zippy Duvall, and Farm Credit Council President Todd Van Hoose discussed the sources of farm stress, why it’s so difficult for rural residents to access mental health care, and how to help friends and family members who are struggling.
