JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Archery Deer Season opens today, Friday, September 4th at Noon.

Hunting season officially kicked off with the dove season on September 1st. Game & Fish Wildlife Biologist Doug Leier says hunters are reminded to register with the Harvest Information Program prior to hunting.

The season remains open through November 29th.

Today also kicks off the archery deer season in North Dakota.

Leier says tags still need to be purchased through the Game & Fish Department’s website.

In other outdoor news, Leier reminds anyone who may be on the waters for what could be the final time this year, to keep an eye out for aquatic nuisance species.
