CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Hornets and the Cardinals met at Carrington High School Gymnasium on Tuesday night in both teams season openers, Carrington won the first, third and fourth set to get the victory 3-1 (25-16, 23-25, 25-11, 25-22).
The Cardinals had 47 total kills, leading the way were Seniors Hannah Hagel with 15, Lexus Page with 12 and Junior Sydnie Grager with 10. Grager added five stuff blocks, Page added three aces, nine aces total as a team. Leading the way for HWC was Lexi Fike and Kalyn Keller with five kills each.
Next up for RV Carrington will be at No. 2 Thompson on Thursday night, KDAK and newsdakota.com will have the pregame starting about 6:30pm.
