VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Fargo woman was seriously injured after overturning her motorcycle on I-94 near Valley City Saturday afternoon.
The Highway Patrol reports that a 42 year-old female from Fargo was eastbound on I-94 just before 5 PM when she failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the roadway into the median. She was not wearing a helmet.
The rider and motorcycle came to rest in the median of I-94. The rider was transported to CHI Mercy Hospital in Valley City by Valley City Ambulance. Avera Careflight of Aberdeen, SD transported the rider to Sanford Hospital in Fargo for serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol. They were assisted by the Patrol, Barnes County Sheriff’s Department, Valley City Police Department, Valley City Ambulance, Valley City Fire Department, and Avera Careflight.
