MAPLETON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – After a rain out last Friday for their season and home opener, the Valley City girls golf team finally got the season started with an EDC  meet at Maple River Golf Course in Mapleton.

The Hi-Liners put together a good showing. As a team, the Hi-Liners carded a 466 which is a team best score since Head Coach Annette Beattie took the program three years ago.

Emma Meilke led the Hi-Liners with a 105. Three golfers had new personal best scores. Brynn Hagen with a 112, Emma Langemo with a 137 and Brynklyn Johnson with a 144. Katarina Vachel tied her personal best with a 112. Maggie Dockter had a 142.

Next up for the Hi-Liners, they will at an EDC meet Thursday at Bois de Sioux Golf Course in Wahpeton.
