VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment comes up on August 26th. After the Amendment was ratified women had the right to vote.

Barnes County Museum Director Wes Anderson said a display about the effort that lead to the amendment called “Rightfully Her’s” will be at the museum in downtown Valley City.

Meanwhile, Susan Wefald of Bismarck is leading an effort to have the word VOTE lite up on windows at the State Capitol Building in Bismarck on August 26th to commemorate the amendment.
