JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The city of Jamestown’s Vector Control will begin conducting aerial spraying for elevated mosquito nuisance in the city this weekend.

The city states spraying will begin Saturday, August 15th at 7:45 PM for two to four hours. Sunday will be a contingent date.

“Parents are advised to keep children out of the streets and indoors during above times,” the city states. “The active ingredient in the ULV (Ultra Low Volume) spray is permethrin. This insecticide is labeled for use in residential areas and are found to be non-toxic to humans and pets.”

Motorists should also use extreme caution in the area.
