JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – At around 11:19 Sunday evening the Stutsman County Sheriff’s office was looking for 2 people, a male and female, that fled from law enforcement.
Pursuit began following a traffic stop and both were on foot east of Jamestown along I-94. At that time, residents were advised to stay inside and lock doors until the situation was resolved.
Stutsman County Sheriff Chad Kaiser said the suspects were known to law enforcement. Both had active felony warrants and the man is known to carry a weapon.
The shelter in place was lifted by the Sheriff’s department just after 5 AM Monday as it was believed the individuals had left the area.
Residents are asked to contact law enforcement by calling 911 if they observe anything suspicious in their area.
