ORISKA, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – At around 2:15pm Sunday afternoon, the sirens sounded in Valley City because a tornado was spotted near Oriska, North Dakota. which prompted the National Weather Service in Grand Forks to issue a tornado warning for part of Cass and Barnes County.
Twenty-minutes after the warning was issued, it was canceled. The storm that was producing the funnel cloud diminished in intensity and was no longer considered severe.
There was no confirmation that the tornado touched down by the National Weather Service but Beth Anderson reported debris flying from the tornado photo she submitted to NewsDakota.com
