JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – City Councilmember David Steele reports that the Jamestown Regional Airport is slowly returning to normal.
State airports were heavily affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic, reporting record lows over the past few months. Steele reports that currently, the Jamestown Regional Airport is starting to slowly open things back up.
Steele added that Skywest, the airline that provides jet service to the airport, has also approved to begin advertising their offerings at the Jamestown airport.
Steele added that passengers who use the Jamestown Regional Airport will see some improvements to the tarmac and more.
In other council news, Councilmember Dan Buchanan gave his thanks to Captain John Gletne for his 42 years of service in the Jamestown Police Department.
Mayor Dwaine Heinrich gave kudos to the Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce on the Give, Get, Grow Campaign aimed at helping inject some needed cash flow into the local economy.
Heinrich added that these gift cards purchased to participating businesses will be matched as long as the matching pool funds last.
