CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Foster County Health will be holding a free car seat checkup event this Thursday.

The event will take place in the rear parking lot at 881 Main Street from Noon to 5 PM. Carrington Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Laurie Dietz says this is a great opportunity to ensure your child or grandchild is secured safely in their car seat.

Dietz added that kids who come with the parents or guardians to the event will also get a treat.

According to the North Dakota Department of Health, four out of five car seats checked in North Dakota had at least one error in use, with some having multiple errors.
