PINGREE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – On Tuesday, a mechanical issued caused a wind tower base to roll into the ditch on Highway 281 near Pingree.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that the road has been closed to upright the unit. Closures include:

-NB traffic north on Hwy 20 in Jamestown, west on Hwy 9 to US 52 south of Melville.
-SB traffic east on Hwy 9 south of Melville, then south on Hwy 20 to meet US 52 in Jamestown.

The closure is expected to last approximately 8 hours. More details will be released when a report is filed.
