JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Ave Maria Village will be holding their 6th Annual Family & Friends Fun Walk in a slightly different way this year.

Originally, the walk invites family, friends, and residents to walk the path behind Ave Maria Village in the Northwest part of Jamestown.

Development Director Annie Hancock says because of the pandemic, they’ve been exploring other ways to hold the event.

Hancock says those who register can then participate in the walk from August 10th through the 28th on a day that works for them.

From there, participants will be asked to post photos to social media or send them to Ave Maria Village in the spirit of the event.

Hancock adds that this will allow those who want to support Ave Maria Village can participate anywhere they want to. She says technology has been very much a silver lining through the pandemic and adding the walk virtually is included.

The cost to register for the walk is $10 per person and that includes a t-shirt. You can call Ave Maria Village at 701-952-5677, email annie.hancock@smphs.org or visit the Ave Maria Village Facebook page for more information or to register.
