EDGELEY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Two people were injured after a crash in LaMoure County Tuesday afternoon.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that around 4:30 PM, a Ford was traveling westbound on Highway 13 when it went through the marked intersection with Highway 281. A Toyota traveling southbound on Highway 281 struck the trailer with the driver side of the vehicle.

The trailer detached and traveled into the south ditch. The Ford rotated and rolled into the north ditch. The Toyota traveled west on Highway 13 and onto the north shoulder.

The 64 year-old Toyota driver from Watertown, SD was taken by lifeflight to Avera Hospital in Aberdeen for serious injuries. Dean Johs, 40, of Napoleon was transported to Wishek Hospital and later released.

The crash remains under investigation.
