JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The 2020 Census is well underway across the U.S.
Currently, the response rate for the 2020 Census in the U.S. is 62.3%, roughly 4% behind the 2010 response rate. North Dakota’s response rate sits at 62%.
For Stutsman County, the response rate is higher than in 2010, sitting at 69%. Jamestown’s response rate is currently 71.1%, 2% behind the 2010 census at this time.
Other response rates include 69.2% in Valley City, 73.4% in CArrington, and 64.4% in Fargo.
Most of those counted have been through self-response. Residents are reminded that enumerators will be going door-to-door beginning July 30th to households that haven’t responded.
It’s expected that there will be a slight jump in self-response rates as people may want to avoid someone coming to their door.
