JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Moved up to be a part of Buffalo Days, Fort Seward hosted their annual Big Guns of the Old West demonstration both Saturday and Sunday this weekend.
The Fort, which was in operation from 1872 to 1877, hosted living exhibits, demonstrations, classic rifle collection, silent auction, and pie auction on Sunday.
Later, a demonstration of the Gatling Gun and Howitzer Cannon were given. Chuck Keller, owner and operator of the Gatling Gun, gave a short history on the gun before the shots rung out.
Following that, Dale Marks fired off the cannon to cheers and applause.
Below are some photos and video from the event.
