STEELE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The fourth and final day of the 2020 Class B District 6 Babe Ruth baseball tournament was held on Saturday at Pirate Field with the championship game. The Lamoure A’s scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back as they roll past the Carrington Redbirds 10-0 in 4 1/2 innings, winning by 10-run rule. The A’s went 4-0 in the district tournament and improve to 34-8 overall, the Redbirds were 4-2 in the tourney and end their season at 16-7 overall.

Anthony Hanson picked up the victory on the mound, a complete game no-hitter on 64 pitches, no runs, seven strikeouts, two walks and no hits. Kael Kovar took the loss. The A’s had 13 hits, two each from Connor Johnson, Landon Piehl, Hanson, Carter Bowman, Gunner Thielges and CJ Ness. Corbin Potts was 1-for-2 with a double and three RBI’s.

The A’s will travel to Kindred for the State Class B Babe Ruth baseball tournament in Kindred running Friday, July 31st through Tuesday, August 4th.
