STEELE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The 2020 District 6 Babe Ruth Baseball Tournament will take place at Pirate Field in Steele and will run Wednesday, July 22nd through Saturday, July 25th. The double elimination tournament will have five games on the opening day, followed by another five games on Thursday, three on Friday and one, two if necessary on Saturday. The Lamoure A’s are the four-time defending champs and will play the fourth game of the day against Ellendale at approximately 4:30pm. This years champion will advance to the State Class B Babe Ruth tourney in Kindred starting Friday, July 31st running through Tuesday, August 4th. The entire district tourney can be heard on Thunder Country 98.3 FM and newsdakota.com starting at 9am on Wednesday.  Here is the first day schedule:

9am – No. 1 Valley City #1 vs. No. 8 Ashley

20 minutes after – No. 4 Steele vs. No. 5 Oakes

20 minutes after – No. 3 Carrington vs. No. 6 Linton/Wishek

20 minutes after – No. 2 Lamoure vs. No. 7 Ellendale

20 minutes after – loser game 1 (VC or Ashley) vs loser game 2 (Steele or Oakes) elimination game
