JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The big guns will return to Fort Seward this weekend during Buffalo Days in Jamestown.
Originally held in the fall, Big Guns of the Old West highlights the time of the soldier at the historic Fort Seward.
Jennie Marks is a representative and volunteer at Fort Seward.
The Fort campus will be full of different exhibits and tents for people to see all weekend.
Representative Meggan Smith added that the big highlight of the weekend will be the Howitzer cannon and Gatling gun demonstration.
This year, they will be firing the cannon on both Saturday and Sunday.
Following the demonstrations on Sunday, there will be a pie auction and the silent auction will wrap up. Smith says they will use those funds to go towards future expansion of their exhibits.
Fort Seward also rolled out their new Glamping experience, which Marks adds has been very successful so far this summer.
