Kenneth Dean Suhr, 88, Page, ND passed away at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND on July 15, 2020.  A private family service will be held.

Ken was born on January 10, 1932 to Henry and Idella (Davis) Suhr.  He grew up in the Page, ND area where he attended school.  Later, he attained his welding certification from Hanson’s School in Fargo, ND.

His life was all about the outdoors.  He began his farming career at a young age and continued until “retiring” in the early 1990’s.  He loved to hunt and fish and was an avid fox hunter in his younger days.  The farm was filled with animals of all sorts along with the crops.  He spent hours tending to the garden and cut and processed his own meats.

Ken was known to be quite a rollerskater.  He met his future bride while he was skating one night.  He married Jonnelle Arntson Munro on June 18, 1972.  They made their home on the farm near Page.

His love of farming caused him to become a regular at Rolag attending the Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion.  Ken was an avid woodworker.  He mastered the craft spending many hours in his shop making projects.  He could look at just about anything, then go home and make it.  He built a house from the ground up as well as many of the items inside.

Family was also very important to Ken.  He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.  He is survived by his wife, Jonnelle; children, Anita (Scott) Munro-Haug of Aurora, Co and their children, Mitchel, Connor and Gavin, Neil (Patricia) Munro of Page and their children, Brady and Aiden, and Lynella (Mark) McClean of Wimbledon, ND and their children, Courtney, Amanda, Ashley and Devin Schuldheisz, Tyler (Shelby), Cody, Macee and Lexi McClean.  He also leaves his brothers, Gerald (Arla) Suhr of LaPorte, MN and Curtis (Esther) Suhr of Page and his sister, Karen (Walter) Treitline of Page, ND; 3 nephews, Craig (Cheryl), Randy and Brian (Jennifer) and 2 nieces, Teresa and Tammy.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.

Ken’s family would like to extend a big thank you to the care given him over the years to everyone at Essentia Health, Maryhill Manor (Enderlin, ND) and Mercy Hospital (Valley City, ND).
