JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – In order to adapt to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Stutsman County 4-H has found new ways to ensure their members get the most out of the 2020 summer.

One of these events is the Market Premium Sale. Stutsman County 4-H Coordinator Robin Barnes says the sale was a huge part of the Stutsman County Fair, which was cancelled this year.

Barnes pointed out that social distancing was a concern in holding the auction as they have in the past.

Barnes says to adjust for this, they’ve moved the premium sale to be held online through Orr Auctioneers.

“Orr Auctioneers came to our rescue and provided us with a platform to have this auction online. With their help and direction, we have 42 of our 4-H’ers listed with their animal and ready for you to bid on,” Barnes stated.

Those looking to bid can visit orrauctioneers.com, click on auction details for the 4-H sale, request to bid and start looking at the market animal projects the kids have.

Bidding begins today, July 8th and will end on July 13th at 10 AM.

If you have any questions about this auction, please contact Robin at the NDSU Extension Stutsman County office at 252-9030.
