JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown City Fire Department was called to a house a in Northeast Jamestown just after 12 PM to a report of smoke.
Officials says the cause was smoke backing up from the fireplace. The home received smoke and soot damage.
The Buffalo Valley Red Cross assisted, as the occupant was advised to leave the home until it was cleaned up.
No injuries were reported, but one occupant of the home was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation by the Jamestown Ambulance Service.
Five units and 23 firefighters responded and were on the scene for nearly an hour.
