CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Farmers to Families Food Box program will be available in Carrington today.

Created by the USDA, the program is part of the federal government’s Families First Coronavirus Response Act as a way to support farmers struggling with surplus food product as well as regional and local food distributors and families.

Carrington Chamber Executive Director Laurie Dietz says the event today, July 8th will be held at the Foster County Fairgrounds from 11 AM to 1 PM.

The fairgrounds are located at 301 16th Avenue South. The distribution is free and open to everyone. No income requirements need to be met.
