JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Their doors remain closed to the public, but the James River Humane Society continues to give dogs and cats new homes through adoption.
Past president Gary Sahr says they continue to shelter homeless and abandoned animals. He added that adoptions are also still happening by appointment.
Sahr says those interested in seeing adoptable animals can visit petfinder.com or call Cat Manager Sheila at 701-367-6913 or Dog Manager Kris at 701-268-2803.
Sahr says June is also adopt a cat month. Adoption fees nationwide have been cut down to make adopting a cat or two more affordable.
All animals are spayed and neutered with updated shots at the Humane Society. Sahr says they have coupons with area vets to help alleviate the cost of spaying and neutering pets.
