JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown Area Ambulance is expanding their services to include a new education program to the surrounding area.
Announced during National EMS Week, the program will offer different trainings and more in order to become certified as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
Operations Manager Andrew Berkey says the program will be called Jamestown EMS Education.
Berkey says they will be offering their first EMT course under the program on August 31st. They will meet every Monday and Thursday from 6 PM to 10 PM and once every Saturday.
He added that this will be different from a typical EMT course.
Berkey says the hope with the education program is to add more staff to not only Jamestown Area Ambulance, but to other rural services as well.
