Updated: Grand Forks Police say one of the 2 officers involved in a shootout with a 41 year Grand Forks man has died. The officers name has not been released yet. The other injured officer, a Sheriffs deputy, is in stable condition.
The alleged shooter has been identified as Salamah Q. Pendleton.

Grand Forks, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Law enforcement is on the scene of a Grand Forks apartment building this afternoon. Reports say 1 person is dead and 3 others injured with multiple gun shots being fired.
Lt. Derik Zimmel, with the Grand Forks Police Department, says two sheriff’s deputies were attempting to serve civil paperwork at 2627 17th Street So. That’s when a male subject from within the apartment unexpectedly opened fire.
Lt. Zimmel says a woman was found dead in the apartment. The male suspect was shot and brought to the hospital. It’s also being reported that a Grand Fork Police officer and Sheriff’s deputy were hurt by gunfire. No word yet on condition of the suspect or the officers.
