Donald Lee Schroeder was born to Solomon and Ida (Haas) Schroeder on October 11, 1935 in Jamestown. He passed away at his home Friday evening, May 15, 2020 at the age of 84. “He lived to serve and died to gain eternal life.

Donald married Patricia Ann Zehm on August 19, 1957. They had two sons. They lived in several areas and farmed in Cleveland, ND, for 35 years. They moved to Jamestown in 2005.

Don was an educator and employed by several out-of-area schools, North Dakota State Hospital, and finally at the James River Senior Center. He enjoyed farming the most.

Don is survived by: his wife Patricia a faithful companion for 62 years; two sons, Sidney Paul Schroeder (Pam) of Bismarck, ND, and Stuart Solomon Schroeder (Troy) of Austin, TX; two grandchildren, Branden (Stacey) Schroeder of Washburn, ND, and Lauren Schroeder, Jupiter, FL; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Roland (Jack), Casa Grande, AZ; two sisters-in-law, Barbara (LaRue) Goetz and Ramona Zehm, Mesa, AZ; and many nieces and nephews.

Private family graveside services were held at the Cleveland Cemetery, Cleveland, ND.
