VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Dick Gulmon has announced his retirement as market president at Dacotah Bank in Valley City. Paige Bjornson, senior business banker has been promoted to the market president position. Paige assumes the role of market president May 29, 2020.
Gulmon started his banking career with Farmers & Merchants Bank in Valley City 37 years ago with his last 19 years at Dacotah Bank. He served as business banker and in 2013 assumed the role of market president.
Dick and his wife, Debra, have two adult children. Dick is currently active in Valley City Park and Recreation, Valley City Visitors Committee, USA Softball of North Dakota, Valley City State University Foundation, St Catherine’s Church Parish Trustee, Sheyenne Care Center advisory board, South Central Senior Center, Valley City Wellness Center and in many other community groups and organizations throughout the years.
Incoming market president Paige Bjornson is a Valley City native. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from North Dakota State University and is a graduate of the Dakota School of Banking and the ABA National Commercial Lending School. Bjornson’s banking career started with Security State Bank of ND for one year, and the last 26 years have been with Dacotah Bank, formally Farmers & Merchants Bank of Valley City.
Bjornson and her husband, Darren have three children. She currently serves on the Valley City-Barnes County Development Corp board of directors, VCSU Business advisory board, Our Saviors Lutheran Church Council and CHI Mercy Health board of directors.
