JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Army Corps of Engineers Pipestem Dam Manager James Dixon says his office has been receiving a lot of calls concerning the high levels at the reservoir this spring.

Dixon says residents may be seeing higher levels at both Jamestown and Pipestem reservoirs, but because of the unique winter, it’s “normal” to see higher levels right now.

Dixon says there is worry from residents, but those concerns aren’t necessary.

In other reservoir news, Dixon says the originally planned 5-year inspection has been postponed indefinitely.

In the way of recreation, Dixon says their campgrounds are open, the trails are great, and the fish are biting.
