GALLATIN COUNTY, M.T. (NewsDakota.com) – A former Oakes man was arrested Friday in Gallatin County, Montana.

Mitchell Scott Patterson was apprehended and booked at Yellowstone County Detention Facility. Patterson was charged with rape, sexual abuse of children and a habitual offender operating a motor vehicle, and is being held on a 100 thousand dollar bond according to the Yellowstone County Detention Facility inmate roster.

The Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office posted to Facebook Friday afternoon looking for Patterson and stated he had an “active $100,000 warrant for his arrest for continually engaging in sexual intercourse with a 12 year-old child.”

Patterson was found later that evening according to the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Facebook page.

“We thank everyone who assisted in putting this dangerous criminal behind bars.”

No further information has been released.
