VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Birthdays are special and that’s why Valley City firefighters are making birthday  greetings memorable during these trying times where mass gatherings are prohibited or limited with the current pandemic.

On May 5th, the Cabezas Twins, Shelby and Ethan got a special greeting on their 17th birthday in Valley City. In the feature photo, firefighter Luther Dietrich hands a bag of goodies and a birthday card to Ethan Cabezas.

Fire Chief Scott Magnuson said the greetings are for young and old alike. He said anyone who wants to set up a special birthday greeting with firefighters is encouraged to call the Fire Hall at 845-3351.

Firefighters also showed their support for nurses during Nurses Day on May 6th. They sounded their horns around healthcare facilities to express their appreciation for those who risk their lives working during this pandemic.
