VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Officials with City County Health District and Valley City State University along with the mayor of Valley city gave an update on recent developments concerning the COVID-19 pandemic during a news briefing on April 29th.

The speakers included: City County Health District Administrator Theresa Will, Dr. Alan LaFave, President of Valley City State University and Dave Carlsrud the mayor of Valley City.

Alan LaFave talked about some summer events postponed at the university and the plan to reopen the campus to on site learning in the fall of 2020.

Theresa Will talked about continuing to practice physical distancing and the mass testing for the virus set for next week at the Sheyenne Care Center in Valley City.

Mayor Carlsrud talked about using common sense once businesses reopen on May 1st in North Dakota.
