JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The U.S. Census Bureau has designated May 1st through the 3rd as Census Awareness Weekend.

In the latest results, 53.8% of North Dakota has self-responded to the Census, which is right around the national average response rate. Stutsman County is reporting a 61.4% response race, leading Cass, Foster, Richland, Sargent and Barnes counties. Burleigh County has the most with more than 67% responding

In the response rate challenge between Jamestown & Valley City, Jamestown has pulled ahead with a 64.2% response rate compared to Valley City’s 63.6%. The losing city’s mayor will have to wear the winning city’s hat at their next city council meeting.
