JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The historic Fort Seward Wagon Train is scheduled to set out on its 51st trail run June 21st through the 27th.
President Lacey Kaiser says the wagon train is a journey through the history of the voyage and region.
Kaiser says the weeklong trip takes participants down a planned trail and features a variety of fireside chats and more.
Participants use the day to travel, but once camp is set up, Kaiser says the “authentic” experience begins.
Kaiser says anyone who has taken the journey before is more than welcome to join again. She says anyone who is interested are also more than welcome.
The trail this year is being called the Dakota Prairie Trail. Kaiser says they’ve already gained interested participants from various different states in the U.S.
Kaiser says their board remains aware of the ongoing pandemic and will make plans to postpone if needed, but right now, they’re working on holding the event as planned.
