VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City Mayor Dave Carlsrud issued two emergency orders on March 26. On April 20th the mayor extended those orders to April 30th.
Under the first order, all transient/temporary merchant activity must cease for a period of 30 days. That means portable food stands.
Under the second order any holder of a Valley City alcoholic beverage license will be permitted to serve beer and wine only by curbside or home delivery, subject to certain restrictions depending on the class of license. No hard liquor will be served curbside or to homes. Customers can walk into liquor stores or other establishments to make those hard liquor purchases.
Alcoholic Beverage Licensees are encouraged to contact City Hall for clarification of their rights and responsibilities under the emergency order. More details about the orders at attached below.
