CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDaktoa.com) Earlier this month, Senior Seth Nelson signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at Bismarck State College. Nelson, a 6′ 5″ Forward, averaged 23.9 ppg, 11.3 rpg, 2.5 apg and 3.1 blocks per game during his Senior season with the Cardinals. The three year varsity starter dropped in 1, 275 total points and pulled down 667 total rebounds. He was named all-district three times and awarded second team all-state his Junior year and to the first team all-state his Senior year. During his Sophomore year and first year starting varsity, he helped Carrington advance to the State Class B Boys Basketball tournament where they finished fourth.

Nelson said that he knows a couple of the other players from the Mystics already and that they have played hoops together before and they are good friends. He is planning on majoring in agronomy and when asked why he choose BSC, he replied, “because the town of Bismarck is nice and they have a great campus.”

Nelson also competes in football and baseball and was named to the All-State football team. Unfortunately with the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, his Senior baseball season is on hold at the moment.
