JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Community Action Region VI and Jamestown Job Service continue to provide their services during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kathy Williams, Director of Community Action Region VI, says they are closed to the public and all staff Tuesdays and Fridays with limited staff on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Williams says this is by appointment only, adding that this gives staff time to prepare and sanitize for others. She says there has been a great outpouring of support from the community at this time.
Jamestown Job Service Workforce Manager Danica Chuput reports that the number of unemployment insurance claims continues to remain high in North Dakota and Stutsman County.
Chuput says jobsnd.com remains their best form of information for the public, including updates on jobs, unemployment insurance claims, and more.
She added that those who have received their insurance claims, they should see their checks soon.
As of today, a total of 12,342 tests have been conducted with 439 confirmed cases in North Dakota. Of those cases, 172 have recovered and 9 have resulted in death.
